Method first. Then the numbers.

How we run GEO projects, what we measure, and how each case study is built.

In short

This page explains how IDEA runs GEO projects and how we report results, so you can judge the method before you see the numbers. Every project starts from your buyers' questions, measures where ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews place your brand, and tracks the same questions every week. Case studies are published only with client consent; each follows the same format: industry, task, what we did, result.

Four rules we work by

  1. Start from the buyer's question. Not from keywords and not from our list of services. The question list is agreed with you before any work begins.
  2. Measure the answer, not the position. For every question and every assistant we record: named, cited as a source, or not mentioned. Plus context and the competitors next to you.
  3. Only honest mentions. We build presence in reviews, directories, Reddit and industry media with real information about your company. No fake reviews, no paid posts dressed as opinions.
  4. Same questions, every week. AI answers vary between sessions. One check is a snapshot; a weekly series shows the trend.

The method, step by step

  1. Question list. The questions your buyers ask AI before choosing a supplier, in each language and market you work in.
  2. Audit. Each question goes through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. We record who is named, which sources are cited, and where your brand is missing.
  3. Plan. Changes ranked by expected impact: on your site (structure, facts, direct answers, structured data) and off it (reviews, directories, Reddit, industry media).
  4. Work. On-site changes with your team; off-site mentions built in the sources the answers rely on.
  5. Weekly measurement. The same list, recorded per assistant, with changes highlighted.
  6. Demand. Where it helps, paid media (Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, DV360) and automation turn visibility into enquiries.

What the weekly report shows

  • For each question: the state in each assistant (named / cited as a source / not mentioned).
  • Context: how the assistant describes you, and which competitors appear next to you.
  • Sources: which pages and platforms the answer relies on.
  • Changes since last week, and what we are doing next.
  • Classic metrics alongside: Google positions and organic traffic.

Questions and answers

Do you have GEO case studies?

Yes, and we publish them only with the client's permission. We have worked with international electronics brands, real estate and e-commerce companies. Each case follows the same format: industry, task, what we did, result. If no published case fits your industry, we can walk you through the approach on a call.

Why don't you name your clients?

We name a client only with their written consent. Until we have it, we describe the industry and the task, not the company.

How do I know GEO worked and not something else?

We fix the question list at the start and check the same questions in the same assistants every week. That gives a before-and-after series for each question, and we note other changes (campaigns, launches, press) that could affect it.

What results should I expect from GEO?

The first measurable result is a change in state for specific questions: from "not mentioned" to "cited as a source" or "named in the answer". How fast and for how many questions depends on your market and starting point. The first changes usually appear from 2 months, depending on the niche, the city and the competition.

What metrics do you report for GEO?

Mentions and citations per question and per assistant, the context of each mention, competitors named next to you and the sources the answer relies on. Google positions and organic traffic stay in the report too.

Can you show results before we sign a contract?

The audit shows where you stand today for your own questions, before any long-term work. The audit is free.
